Rooted is the name for the Youth Work at St. Margaret’s Church. We have two groups that meet during the week. One for those in school years 7-9 (Rooted Tuesday & During the Sunday morning service) and one for those in years 10-13 (Rooted Sunday).
If you click on the appropriate page above you can find out more info about each group.
But why the name Rooted?
The name Rooted comes from a couple of verses that the apostle Paul wrote in his book to the Church in Colosse, where he said:
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2v6-7)
Our aim for all our young people is that they will become increasingly rooted in Jesus, knowing Him more for themselves and growing in their knowledge and love of Him. I hope that all our young people will come to have their own trust in the Lord Jesus and go on living for him and bearing fruit for him in the world as they grow up.
